The University of Alaska Fairbanks will host a free public lecture and book signing with Vic Fischer and Charles Wohlforth Friday, April 26 at 6 p.m. in the Salisbury Theatre.

The pair will discuss their book, “To Russia with Love: An Alaskan’s Journey.” The book chronicle’s Fischer’s childhood in Stalinist Russia, his family’s escape, his early life in Alaska and his many return visits to Russia.

Fischer was a delegate to Alaska’s constitutional convention, held at UAF from November 1955 to February 1956. His book was published by the University of Alaska Press.
