KUAC accepting art submissions for 2014 poster

KUAC is now accepting entries for its 2014 poster. The deadline for entries is Sunday, Jan. 5 at 5 p.m.

Each year, KUAC puts out a call for art submissions for its annual poster, which is offered as a thank-you gift during the public television fundraiser. Many of Alaska’s renowned artists have had their work selected for the annual poster, including Barry McWayne, Karen Franzen, Todd Sherman, Alvin Amason, Claire Fejes, Randall Compton, Byron Birdsall, David Mollett, Barbara LaVallee, Jon Van Zyle and Sue Steinacher.

Artists must live in Alaska and may enter up to three pieces of art. A community committee will select the artwork for the 2014 poster, which will be introduced during KUAC’s March 2014 public television fundraiser.
